Hardwood Revolution is a unique approach to the maintenance and beautification of those often overlooked wood surfaces in your home—those flooring surfaces that we walk all over every day. We concentrate on both interior and exterior because in very simple terms that’s a large part of where we live! Inside we can clean, buff, and re-coat what’s already in place. If you need a bit more intensive service we’ll sand them down to a new surface and re-finish your hardwoods with a number of professional-grade stains and finishes to inject new life. Outside we can clean and re-seal your deck, making it weather-proofed once again.
Maintenance Coat
Your wood floor surfaces will need to be maintained! The easiest solution is often called “buff and coat.” Our service includes a 3-step process:
- Cleaning the floor to pull up anything that will make a new coat of finish not want to stick
- Buffing or screening the surface to eliminate minor wear and tear
- Finishing the surface with a new coat of professional-grade polyurethane to protect and renew the beauty of your floors
Hardwood Sanding
When the damage is too great or the stain color needs to change it may be time to re-sand those hardwoods. This process sands your floors down to a new surface before finishing with a custom stain color or beautiful naturaltone sealer followed by topcoats of water-based polyurethane for a durable, protective layer.
Board Lacing and Patchwork
Sometimes individual boards are damaged or stained beyond repair—from water damage, a remodel which moves a wall or door opening, or extending the hardwood surface. Let us show you how to make those problems and more disappear, leaving you with a beautiful wood surface once again.
Outdoor Wood Decks
Let’s face it: in this part of the world we have weather! The extremes of heat and cold, humidity during the summer, and dry air during the winter. Mix in sun, wind, rain, and snow, and that’s Minnesota in a nutshell. Wood decktops, railtops, spindles, staircases, and facia need to be gently cleaned or power-washed and then weather-proofed with an application of naturaltone sealer or tint of your choice.
Installation
There are many wood flooring products on the market today. Site-finished, pre-finished, engineered, laminates, and even vinyl planks. Installation methods include naildown, gluedown, and floating floors. There is a wood flooring product for all areas of your home—and we install them all!
Environment
We strive to be as friendly to your home as possible. Our sanders and machinery are hooked up to powerful vacuums for incredible dust control. We use water-borne polyurethane finishes for strength, fast dry times, and low volatile organic compounds. For decks we use all-natural, non-toxic outdoor wood stabilizer to protect against wood rot, moisture issues, and pests.
These are just a few of the many ways we are working to be the very best choice for your home!
